Gymir was known before as "Shallow Intentions",formed in 2006.After suffering numerous lineup changes-mainly centered around Bass and Keyboard positions within the band,in 2012 the current lineup was finally solidified.As of 2013 going forward, the name has been changed and a new focus established.
